A great logo device that uses a fairly standard font (in two weights) and adds in a clever graphic to get from ‘a’ to ‘z’…

The font is possibly drawn specifically for the logo, but a close representation can be found by combining Franklin Gothic Medium for ‘amazon’ and Helvetica Neue Light for the ‘.com’ both with a black stroke applied around the letter forms to soften and round off the characters slightly:

 

by manipulating the kicker at the base of the ‘a’ stem I think you could get very close indeed, you just need to then ‘warp’ the base of the ‘z’ to simulate the arrow pushing against it.
