Deep Purple – Fireball

Deep Purple’s 1971 ‘Fireball’ album took the ‘cast in stone’ faces of the band from ‘In Rock’ and this time turned them into the head of a blazing comet…a fireball.

The band name is produced in a typeface called Kabel Black. Why it has a full stop after the name is a mystery.

The album title can be reproduced with a font called ‘Psychadelic’. The tail of the F and I need to be manipulated slightly to echo the sleeve design but the rest of the characters are very close.
